Security Analyst II - Remote

Overview

The Managed Services Security Analyst II is responsible for security solutions for clients, demonstrating the capacity to meet and exceed client expectations while performing deep dive investigations into security threats.

In Short

• Perform triage and advanced analysis tasks across endpoint, server, and network infrastructure.
• Conduct Threat Hunting on customer networks to detect and isolate threats.
• Provide proactive security investigations and searches on client environments.
• Coordinate incident investigations and deep dive analysis on detected threats.
• Understand and identify indicators of attack and compromise in alerts.
• Have full understanding of the MITRE ATT&CK framework.
• Update documentation and runbooks for repeatable analysis.
• Participate in an after-hours on-call rotation as Incident Controller.
• Scope customer security incidents and document recommendations.
• Analyze raw log data for escalations through SIEM.

Requirements

• 3 or more years of IT security experience.
• System Administration experience (Windows, Unix/Linux, Mac).
• Advanced understanding of networking concepts.
• Experience using Endpoint Detection and Response software.
• Advanced knowledge of a leading SIEM platform.
• Possess at least one industry certification (Sec+, CEH, SANS, OSCP).
