Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), Platform Engineering Team - Remote

Overview

As a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) at Cubist, you’ll work on the foundation that keeps our flagship key management platform, CubeSigner, running. This role involves scaling deployments, enhancing observability, and building automation to ensure critical infrastructure remains safe and performant.

In Short

• Drive improvements in observability, tracing, and logging.
• Collaborate with engineers and leadership to identify availability risks.
• Embed observability into CI/CD pipelines.
• Define guardrails for infrastructure and deployment.
• Ensure systems are resilient and maintain high performance.
• Work on cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS.
• Utilize modern programming languages like Rust, TypeScript, and Go.
• Apply security best practices.
• Participate in building and maintaining reliable systems.
• Engage in a remote-first work culture.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS.
• Familiarity with observability and telemetry tools.
• Deep understanding of tracing, performance tuning, and networking.
• Experience with containerization.
• Proficiency in modern programming languages.
• Strong command of Git.
• Excellent technical communication skills.
• Experience with Kubernetes is a plus.
• Knowledge of Terraform and Ansible is beneficial.
• Exposure to Real User Monitoring tools.
