Overview

Hopper is looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our Platform Infrastructure team — the group that builds and operates the cloud foundation powering products used by millions of travelers worldwide.

• Join the Platform Infrastructure team at Hopper.
• Focus on building and operating a large-scale cloud infrastructure.
• Automate and improve platform tooling for product teams.
• Participate in incident response for platform-level issues.
• Collaborate with a small team of SREs for operational excellence.
• Work with Google Cloud and Infrastructure as Code tools.
• Ensure systems are secure, reliable, and cost-efficient.
• Support engineering teams with troubleshooting and infrastructure queries.
• Drive automation across key infrastructure components.
• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement in developer experience.

Requirements

• Professional experience in SRE, DevOps, Software Engineering, or Systems Engineering.
• Strong troubleshooting and incident response skills.
• Solid system design and analytical thinking.
• Effective communication skills for collaboration across teams.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, ideally Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform.
• Experience with containers and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals and security best practices.
• Experience with observability stacks and CI/CD pipelines.
• Comfortable writing scripts in Bash, Python, or similar languages.
