Application Specialist in HPC, AI, and Quantum Computing - Remote

Overview

CSC is looking for a specialist with knowledge of quantum computing to join our quantum technologies team. The QT team develops a modern high-performance computing environment with a quantum-accelerated future in mind. We are now setting up a world leading computational platform that combines high-performance computing (HPC), artificial intelligence (AI), and quantum computing (QC), within the LUMI AI Factory effort.

In Short

• Help customers with support requests related to quantum computing and algorithms
• Develop user documentation, customer and internal support, and training
• Engage potential new users that could benefit from quantum computing
• Develop our hybrid HPC+AI+QC software stack and service
• Deploy the latest AI methods and software to support quantum computing
• Support customers in finding optimal approaches for utilizing hybrid HPC+quantum computing

Requirements

• Background in computational or physical sciences
• Good communication skills in English
• Master’s or PhD in a relevant field is an asset
• Knowledge of practical quantum computing, especially quantum algorithms
• Prior experience in high-performance computing for R&D applications
• Experience with Linux and Jupyter Notebooks
• Eagerness to learn and share knowledge
• Continuous competence updates in emerging technologies
