Accounting Analyst (Accountant II) - Remote

Overview

The Accounting Analyst collaborates and works closely with the respective country program Finance Managers and Regional Finance Officers to ensure accounting and financial functions are in accordance with GAAP, CRS finance policies and procedures. This position ensures that CRS’ country program financial data is complete and accurate.

In Short

• Perform detailed account analysis and recommend improvements.
• Identify areas of risk in financial operations.
• Conduct cost allocation monitoring and analysis.
• Provide technical support to Finance Managers.
• Resolve issues during month end closure.
• Support external audits and fund accounting statements.
• Analyze monthly and quarterly expense fluctuations.
• Monitor project budgets and ensure timely closure.
• Assist with staff capacity building in accounting.
• Develop training materials and conduct trainings.

Requirements

• Knowledge of GAAP and financial policies.
• Experience in financial analysis and accounting.
• Ability to conduct risk analysis.
• Strong communication skills.
• Experience with audit processes.
• Ability to mentor staff on financial management.
• Familiarity with USG rules and regulations.
• Experience in training development.
