Senior Software Engineer, Stream Integrations - Remote

Overview

As a Senior Integrations Engineer at Cribl, you will build the software components that enable us to collect and send data between closed and open source systems. This role is equal parts research and development.

In Short

• Develop features that integrate Cribl’s data stream processing engine with data systems.
• Rapidly develop subject matter expertise in a diverse set of 3rd party technologies.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain clear, concise, and robust code.
• Develop expert level knowledge of software development using NodeJS and TypeScript.
• Create robust test plans paired with comprehensive automated tests.
• Collaborate with other engineers, product managers, and UX designers.
• Provide feedback on feature design and code reviews.
• Contribute to a weekly 24/7 support on call rotation.
• Help the greater team, even if it’s outside your job description.
• Engage users by contributing to community, documentation, and blogs.

Requirements

• Experience integrating with third party applications, libraries, and APIs.
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.
• Experience with using and developing REST APIs.
• Experience with cloud based platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP.
• Experience with authorization and authentication standards.
• Comfort with significant research and discovery before coding begins.
• Demonstrated ability to build robust systems in the face of uncertainty.
• Experience with Agile processes and rapid iterative development.
• Strong sense of ownership with focus on high quality deliverables.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
