Overview

The Principal Performance Engineer will drive end-to-end performance for next-generation networking silicon and systems, helping to set the performance strategy and enable large-scale customer deployments across multiple verticals.

In Short

  • Own pre- and post-launch performance validation and optimization for networking products.
  • Lead performance for post-silicon bring-up validation of networking ASICs.
  • Deliver white-glove customer support, reproducing field issues and publishing tuning guides.
  • Pathfind and optimize workloads for AI inference and traditional HPC.
  • Conduct multi-fabric research and tuning across various networking technologies.
  • Explore platform designs and tunings end-to-end.
  • Design credible experiments to test and validate performance metrics.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in performance engineering or systems performance for networking or HPC/AI products.
  • Post-silicon expertise with hands-on performance validation of networking ASICs.
  • Depth in networking hardware and software debug for performance tuning.
  • Hands-on experience with multi-fabric technologies like Ethernet and InfiniBand.
  • Fluency in AI/HPC workloads and optimization techniques.
  • Strong automation skills using Python and Linux.
  • Excellent cross-functional communication abilities.
  • BS/MS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.
