Overview

The Phlebotomist is responsible for collecting blood samples from patients, ensuring safe and hygienic techniques, and maintaining accurate records for laboratory testing.

In Short

  • Assist in meeting lab turnaround time goals.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Completion of an accredited phlebotomy training program.
  • Minimum of 6 months phlebotomy experience preferred.
  • Skilled in all collection procedures.
  • Ability to maintain technical and organizational skills.
  • Must follow all safety procedures.
  • Good communication skills for interacting with staff and patients.
  • Ability to document accurately and timely.
  • Willingness to participate in the orientation of new employees.
  • Availability to work part-time shifts, including weekends.
