Patient Safety Attendant - Remote

Overview

The Patient Safety Attendant works under the direction of the RN to provide one-on-one observation and frequent safety checks for patients at risk of self-harm, falls, or wandering.

In Short

• Casual part-time position, night shift from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.
• Float between St. Joseph, Niles, and Watervliet locations.
• Provide observation for patients at risk of self-injury or suicide.
• Assist clinical staff with patient care activities.
• Document patient observations and report changes in behavior.
• Participate in safety initiatives and complete safety-related competencies.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred experience in a hospital or patient care setting.
• Work variable days and weekends as needed.

• Previous experience in a hospital or patient care setting preferred.
• Ability to provide appropriate supervision and care for patients.
