Overview

As a Nursing Assistant PRN with Corewell Health, you will provide essential patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse, ensuring the well-being of patients and supporting the nursing team in various tasks.

In Short

• Provide patient care according to individual plans and hospital policies.
• Document care provided in the electronic medical record.
• Transport patients safely using wheelchair or stretcher.
• Serve as an Observer for patients requiring constant observation.
• Perform clerical duties to support the nursing unit.
• Maintain current knowledge and certification in required areas.
• Attend safety training programs and adhere to safety protocols.
• Demonstrate respect and professionalism towards patients and team members.
• Promote effective working relations within the team.
• Work part-time during variable shifts as needed.

Requirements

• Completion of Corewell Health Student Co-op Program or High School Diploma.
• Previous experience in a hospital or nursing home setting.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days.
• Preferred certification as Nursing Assistant in Michigan.
• Physical ability to perform the essential functions of the job.
• Ability to work variable shifts including weekends.
