Overview

The Nurse Assistant IICU provides essential care to patients in the Intensive Intermediate Care Unit under the direction of a Registered Nurse, ensuring safety and comfort during their recovery process.

In Short

• Care for patients post-ICU stay and those requiring more care than Progressive Care Level.
• Handle a variety of patient conditions including tracheostomies, strokes, and more.
• Provide safe transport of patients and assist with documentation of services.
• Perform general receptionist and clerical duties to aid unit efficiency.
• Complete a full week of corporate orientation upon hiring.
• Work part-time on a night shift schedule.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Previous hospital or nursing home experience preferred.
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Current CNA certification preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
