In Short

  • Seeking a dynamic Business Development Executive for the Public Sector.
  • Responsible for growing cooperative contract revenue across new and existing SLED participating agencies.
  • Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities in the public sector.
  • Work with government agencies and educational institutions.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Drive the sales cycle to completion before transitioning to the Member Success team.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities in Salesforce.
  • Attend trade shows and networking events.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, public administration, or related field.
  • 8+ years of sales experience with 5+ years in the public sector.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales goals.
  • Strong skills in developing and presenting programs.
  • Experience with CRM software, Salesforce preferred.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of public procurement processes.
  • Self-motivated and customer-focused.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
