Remote Senior Accountant

Overview

Our client, a growing Government Contracting firm in the Northern Virginia area, is seeking an experienced GovCon Senior Accountant to help maintain financial integrity and support the organization's mission.

In Short

• Assist in all aspects of operational and project accounting.
• Budgeting and general ledger preparation.
• Compliance and grants management.
• Cost accounting and audit readiness.
• General Ledger analysis and reconciliations.
• Develop monthly financial statements and reports.
• Reconcile payroll to the accounting system.
• Set up new projects and ensure proper billing rates.
• Prepare month-end adjusting journal entries.
• Review financial package numbers for variances.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting principles.
• 3 - 5 years of experience in general accounting.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or similar field.
• Experience with Unanet or Deltek.
• Understanding of DCAA, GSA, and FAR regulations.
