Network Security Engineer - Remote

Overview

We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and open-minded Network Security Engineer for our client in the finance sector by Lake Zurich. This position starts as a temporary role but offers the potential for a permanent position in the medium term.

In Short

• Planning, implementing, and managing network security solutions.
• Participating in exciting network projects, including designing and supporting operational processes.
• Taking system ownership for various network components, including firewalls and switches.
• Responsible for configuration and strategic changes in setups.
• Coordinating with Managed Service Providers.
• Planning and coordinating software updates and lifecycle management.
• Working with established technologies from vendors like Fortinet, Cisco, and Checkpoint.
• Managing and configuring external DNS services.
• Contributing to other exciting tasks and projects within the Network & Security Team.

Requirements

• Several years of work experience in IT (Firewall, Network, Web Proxy, etc.).
• University degree in Computer Science.
• Further education/certification in IT/Network Security is advantageous.
• Good analytical and conceptual skills with an understanding of technical relationships.
• Strong communication skills and negotiation skills.
• Fluent in German (spoken and written) and good knowledge of English.
