Commissioning Engineer - Remote

Overview

The Commissioning Engineer is responsible for the commissioning of fire curtain systems on-site to ensure they operate correctly and meet specifications, working closely with installation teams, project managers, and clients.

• Carry out final commissioning of fire curtain systems.
• Perform functional testing and system configuration.
• Identify and resolve faults during commissioning.
• Complete commissioning documentation and maintain accurate records.
• Liaise with clients and project teams for system handover.
• Provide technical support and training during commissioning.
• Attend cause and effect testing for successful handover.
• Ensure all work complies with regulations.
• Manage time effectively across multiple projects.
• Assist with installation and servicing as needed.

Requirements

• Experience commissioning or maintaining electrical or mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills on customer sites.
• Self-motivated with time management skills.
• Full UK driving license and CSCS card.
• Knowledge of fire curtain systems is desirable.
• Relevant electrical or engineering qualifications are a plus.
