Institutional Review Board (IRB) Administrator - Remote

Overview

The IRB Administrator serves as CUWAA's Institutional Review Board (IRB) primary contact, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and university policies. The role can be based at either the Mequon, WI or Ann Arbor, MI campus, with remote work options available.

In Short

• Primary contact for IRB compliance and operations.
• Conduct administrative pre-reviews of protocols.
• Coordinate IRB committee meetings and manage records.
• Support investigators with applications and data security.
• Administer the eIRB system (Cayuse).
• Monitor post-approval compliance.
• Assist with updates to IRB policies and SOPs.
• Deliver professional development for faculty and students.
• Maintain training logs and compliance records.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience with IRB processes.
• Strong knowledge of 45 CFR 46 (Common Rule).
• Experience with Cayuse IRB preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong organization and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle confidential information discreetly.
• Capability to train faculty and student investigators.
