MDS Nurse - Remote (Michigan Licensed)

Overview

The MDS Nurse supports Engage Consulting clients by providing a variety of tasks related to MDS completion and regulatory compliance.

In Short

• Responsible for MDS assessments and care plan development.
• Coordinate and submit mandated OBRA and Medicare MDS assessments.
• Participate in key meetings in-person and remotely.
• Provide interim MDS completion services as needed.
• Conduct audits focusing on reimbursement accuracy.
• Maintain knowledge of geriatric care standards and regulations.
• Provide assistance to senior management when requested.
• Familiarity with EMR programs is required.
• Work a hybrid schedule of remote and in-person.
• Engage in special projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Active RN or LPN licensure required.
• Two years of MDS completion experience in a SNF.
• AAPACN Resident Assessment Coordinator Certification preferred.
• Intermediate knowledge of SNF reimbursement regulations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
