Overview

As a Business Intelligence Engineer at CompassX, you will support life sciences clients by owning the full data workflow from source to visualization, impacting client outcomes and contributing to the growth of the firm.

In Short

• Design and implement star schema models and semantic layers for reporting.
• Perform source-to-target data mapping and build data lineage documentation.
• Define and document key business KPIs and metrics.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align on data definitions and reporting needs.
• Develop Power BI dashboards based on underlying data models.
• Work in a fast-moving, collaborative environment with global teams.
• Combine roles of Analyst, Engineer, and Architect in business intelligence solutions.
• Shape structure and define logic in a maturing client environment.
• Leverage creativity and experience to influence project outcomes.

Requirements

• Experience in the full data workflow from analysis to dashboard development.
• Expertise in data architecture concepts.
• Strong experience with Power BI, including DAX.
• Excellent SQL skills and big picture thinking.
• Comfortable in a collaborative environment.
