Overview

The Warmline Peer Support Operator provides confidential, non-judgmental support to callers while practicing the principles of Intentional Peer Support.

In Short

  • Part-time position (15 hours per week)
  • Remote work for the David Romprey Oregon Warmline
  • Shifts include evenings and weekends
  • Pay range of $20.38 - $28.51 per hour
  • Additional pay for shift differentials on weekday nights and weekends
  • Must have lived experience and provide peer support
  • Ongoing training and team-building required
  • Must maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Effective communication skills are essential
  • Must complete required certifications within 6 months

Requirements

  • Must identify as a person with lived experience of emotional challenges
  • Completion of Core Training in Intentional Peer Support required
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Respectful communication and team skills needed
  • Willingness to learn about cross-cultural issues and trauma
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and data logging
  • Must pass criminal background checks
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral formats
  • Participation in ongoing trainings is required
  • Must adhere to all policies and procedures
