Overview

FreeWheel, a Comcast company, is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to provide technical leadership in creating and maintaining large scale Big Data systems and Data Environments, enabling effective data ingestion and processing.

In Short

• Provide technical leadership for Big Data systems.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain software for data processing.
• Work in an Agile development environment on AWS.
• Utilize technologies like SQL, Golang, and Python.
• Develop Microservices API systems.
• Create dashboards for monitoring software availability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 7 years of software development experience in Agile.
• 5 years using Kubernetes and AWS.
• 3 years with Presto or Spark, Datadog, Terraform, and Jenkins.
• 1 year with Snowflake or Databricks.
• Experience with MySQL or Postgres.
• Strong debugging skills.
• Ability to work on distributed systems.
• Experience with data warehousing and business intelligence.
• Familiarity with audience targeting and data ingestion.
