Overview

Columbia University School of Professional Studies seeks industry professionals for the role of adjunct Lecturer to develop and teach various courses in the school’s M.S. in Technology Management program, providing technology professionals with key strategic and tactical skills necessary for enhanced organizational performance and innovation.

In Short

• Lead in-person and/or online class lectures, instructional activities, and classroom discussions.
• Evaluate student work and grade assignments.
• Monitor student concerns and inquiries.
• Hold weekly office hours.
• Prepare and maintain the course in Columbia University’s learning management system.
• Complete Canvas training if new to SPS.
• Attend Technology Management faculty meetings.
• Develop course objectives and syllabus if assigned to design a course.
• Collaborate with Instructional Design to develop course materials.
• Mentor students in the field of technology management.

Requirements

• Graduate degree in IT, business management, finance, or related disciplines.
• At least 15 years of industry experience focused on digital transformation.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
