External Marketing Manager - Remote

Overview

Codacy is looking for an External Marketing Manager to help shape and execute on our external Marketing strategy. This position will report to our Director of Marketing and work closely with our Sales, Customer Success departments and Product departments.

In Short

• Act as a bridge between the developer community and internal teams (engineering, product, marketing).
• Create and deliver technical content such as blog posts, tutorials, sample apps, and videos to help developers succeed.
• Speak at conferences, webinars, and community events to advocate for the company’s products and technologies.
• Engage with developers on forums, Discord/Slack, GitHub, and social platforms to provide support and gather feedback.
• Build and maintain demo applications and tooling that showcase best practices and product use cases.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to influence roadmap and ensure developer needs are met.
• Monitor community sentiment and provide insights to improve documentation, DX (developer experience), and product usability.

• Curious and proactive — you seek out feedback, trends, and new technologies to stay ahead.

• A creative problem-solver who thrives in cross-functional environments.
• Energized by collaboration and not afraid to jump between code, content, and community.
• Strong technical background (software engineering, web development, APIs, etc.) with hands-on coding skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience creating technical content and presenting to developer audiences.
• Comfortable engaging with open-source communities and using platforms like GitHub.
• Passion for community building, education, and developer advocacy.
• Familiarity with modern dev tools, frameworks, and cloud platforms.
