Network Engineer, Senior - FAA - Remote

Overview

This position will provide experienced network engineering support to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

In Short

• Provide network engineering support to FAA.
• Participate in on-call rotation and after-hours support.
• Flexibility to travel for site visits or client support.
• Develop operational concepts and translate them into capabilities.
• Support strategic mission and investment analysis activities.
• Maximize network performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Establish networking environment and enforce system standards.
• Assist in requirements definition and decomposition.
• Contribute to working groups through communication.
• Must meet eligibility for US Public Trust security clearance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in network engineering.
• Expertise in FAA systems and networking protocols.
• Proven experience with Juniper devices.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols (BGP, OSPF, etc.).
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools.
• Experience with security protocols and practices.
• Knowledge of cloud networking concepts preferred.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Extensive experience managing client relationships.
