Business Intelligence Analyst - Looker Specialist (Contractor) - Remote

Overview

CloudZero is seeking a data visualization specialist for the next 6 months who can help us transform our rich FinOps data into intuitive, actionable dashboards using Looker. You’ll work across teams to understand their needs and create compelling visualizations that help our customers extract maximum value from their cloud cost data. You will have a real impact, creating a collection of default dashboards to help existing and prospective customers get the most from CloudZero.

In Short

• Design, build, and maintain compelling Looker dashboards that provide clear insights into cloud cost data
• Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Customer Success, and Accounting teams to understand their specific needs and translate them into effective visualizations
• Create intuitive default dashboards for the CloudZero platform that help customers quickly understand their cloud spending
• Advocate for dashboard performance and user experience as we scale to support larger datasets
• Use LookML and GitHub to manage dashboard definitions

Requirements

• You have 3+ years of professional experience, with a strong background in creating data visualizations or dashboards with Looker
• You demonstrate strong product and design sense with an eye for clean, intuitive user experiences
• You're comfortable working with complex data models and can translate business questions into effective queries
• You have experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand their needs and create tailored solutions
• You're excited about working in a fast-paced environment where you can make a significant impact
• You have a background in data analysis, financial analysis, systems analysis, project management, research, supply chain/logistics, or customer success
• You are comfortable working 9-5 EST - we have flexibility, but our core hours are in Eastern Timezone
