Project Financial Analyst - Remote

Overview

The Project Financial Analyst is responsible for project related financials, such as tracking and verifying project financial progress; processing invoices and payments to investigators and vendors; reconciling payments with sites, vendors and corporate Finance. The Project Financial Analyst will work closely with project managers, Contracts and Proposals, and Business Development to reconcile study related budget(s).

In Short

• Reconcile project budgets with project managers.
• Keep accurate records of all changes and charge backs.
• Recognize budget changes and point out when change orders need to be created.
• Attend project meetings and identify when change orders need to be generated and ensure that process is started.
• Process approvals and payments for invoices submitted by sites/vendors; ensure payments are within contractual agreements.
• Identify out of balance accounting records and reconcile with site/vendor and the finance department.
• Communicate directly with the site and vendors to resolve invoice differences.
• Conduct Quality Control process reviews and remediate as needed.
• Maintain the clinical financial database.
• Ensure documentation is maintained to support an audit trail in the accounting system.

Requirements

• The position requires at least a Bachelor’s Degree.
• Must have financial analysis experience.
• Must have prior experience working in CRO or pharmaceutical industry.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel (pivot tables, macros, data analysis).
• Work well under pressure.
• Have excellent communication skills.
