Data Engineer with BI Capability - Remote

Overview

We’re looking for a hands-on Data Engineer to join us on a 12-month max-term contract and play a key role in supporting and scaling our growing data infrastructure.

In Short

• Build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Databricks.
• Support business intelligence needs by developing and maintaining reports.
• Collaborate with the Lead Data Engineer for architectural guidance.
• Focus on data quality, reliability, and usability.
• Contribute to data lake and data warehouse architecture.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and logging for data pipelines.
• Participate in sprint planning and team collaboration rituals.
• Assist stakeholders with ad hoc data queries.
• Translate complex datasets into usable insights.
• Work in a hybrid arrangement: 3 days in-office, 2 days remote.

Requirements

• Strong experience with ETL/ELT pipelines in Databricks.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Deep knowledge of data modeling and warehousing concepts.
• Experience with BI tools like ThoughtSpot.
• Solid version control practices (e.g., Git).
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical team members.
