Senior French Accountant (Part-Time) - Remote

Overview

We are looking for a skilled French-speaking Senior Accountant to prepare the financial statements, US GAAP to Local GAAP reconciliations, VAT returns for companies of our global client in France. In Short

• Prepare monthly tasks such as VAT, Intrastat report, Payroll, Balance sheet recons, SOX binders;
• Prepare the year-end financial close activities (US GAAP to French GAAP reconciliations, French GAAP financial statements drafting);
• Contact with the auditors for the preparation of the PBC list;
• Contact with the external consultants for the preparation of annual CIT questionnaires;
• Assist with ad-hoc accounting, tax and finance projects;
• Support the team leader in order to achieve a smooth operation of all transaction parts and monthly reporting;
• Provide guidance to junior staff and assist with mentoring staff to meet all client deadlines.

Requirements

• Successfully completed a degree in business management, economics or a similar field of study
• You have finalized the French audit consultant exam (Commissaire aux Comptes)
• At least 5-10+ years of practical work experience in French compliance
• Exceptional English speaking and writing skills
• Sound knowledge of French GAAP (Plan Comptable Général) and international accounting (IFRS/US GAAP)
• Client-oriented thinking and excellent communication skills
• Demonstrate confidence, factual reasoning, and work well with others
• Strong internet access, phone connection and home setup for remote work
• Fluency in English and French language (written and verbal skills);
