Applications Development Senior Manager - Remote

Overview

The Applications Development Senior Manager is a senior management level position responsible for accomplishing results through the management of a team or department in an effort to establish and implement new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team.

In Short

• Manage one or more Applications Development teams to accomplish established goals.
• Conduct personnel duties for the team including performance evaluations and hiring.
• Provide technical oversight across systems and applications.
• Review and analyze proposed technical solutions for projects.
• Contribute to formulation of strategies for applications development.
• Develop comprehensive knowledge of business integration.
• Monitor delivery of end results and participate in budget management.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Assess risk when making business decisions.
• Create accountability within the team.

Requirements

• 9 to 15 years of experience in Java/J2EE, Spring, Hibernate.
• Expertise in design, development, performance tuning, and microservices.
• Good understanding of ECS, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
• Experience in an agile environment following best practices.
• Hands-on working experience in software solutions optimization.
• Expertise in troubleshooting and problem solving.
• Experience in Test Driven Development.
• Knowledge of Authentication, Authorization, and Security.
• Passion for technology and self-starter attitude.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; Master’s preferred.
