Overview

The citadelle systems AG is an IT system house group from Essen aiming to build a new champion in the system house market. Their offerings range from classic hardware and infrastructure business to cloud and managed services, as well as strategic IT management consulting. Within six years, the group has grown to 13 locations with 185 employees. In 2023 and 2024, citadelle systems AG was ranked among the Top 3 service providers in Germany.

You will take on the central role of Senior Controller in financial management and controlling for the entire corporate group (citadelle systems AG as the parent company and its GmbH subsidiaries). The position can be predominantly remote, but regular presence days at the Essen location are desired, especially during the onboarding process.

In Short

• Creation and monitoring of budgets, forecasts, and business planning, as well as conducting variance analyses.
• Responsibility for cross-company liquidity management and cash flow statements (short, medium, and long-term).
• Further development of management reporting, including KPI monitoring and deriving recommendations for action.
• Further development of controlling processes and systems; ideally, initial experience with extensive controlling IT systems.
• Support in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, as well as participation in M&A and special projects.
• Integration of new financial and controlling processes and companies into existing corporate structures.
• Preparation of ad-hoc analyses and decision-making templates for management.

Requirements

• A completed degree in business administration, controlling, finance, or a comparable qualification.
• Several years of experience in controlling, ideally with initial contact points in M&A and transformation projects.
• Solid knowledge in financial planning, cost accounting, liquidity management, and cash flow statements.
• Proficient in ERP systems and BI tools, as well as ideally initial experience with extensive controlling IT systems.
• Strong numerical understanding and the ability to clearly present complex financial relationships.
• A high degree of initiative, proactivity, and willingness to actively shape processes.
• Strong communication skills and secure interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
• Very good German and English language skills, both written and spoken.
• Ability to act effectively in a dynamic, cross-company environment.
