Electrical Engineer - HV Underground and Submarine Cables - Remote

Overview

We are looking for an Electrical Engineer specializing in high and extra-high voltage underground and submarine cables to join our Energy and Resources team.

• Perform technical calculations for cable selection.
• Develop specifications and designs for cable systems.
• Provide technical support and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Collaborate with engineering disciplines and clients.
• Support testing and commissioning activities.
• Minimum of eight years of relevant experience required.

Requirements

• Experience in HV/EHV cable design and installation.
• Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) or eligible.
• Proficiency in cable design software like CYMCAP.
• Knowledge of IEC, IEEE, and CIGRE standards.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluency in French and English.
• Willingness to travel within North America.
