Electrical Engineer - High Voltage Underground and Submarine Cables - Remote

Overview

We are seeking an electrical engineer specialized in high and very high voltage underground and submarine cables to join our energy and resources team.

In Short

• Responsible for specification, design, installation, and maintenance of high voltage cables.
• Conduct technical calculations for cable selection and design.
• Provide technical support and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Collaborate with other engineering disciplines and assist in project coordination.
• Support factory and site acceptance testing and commissioning activities.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of experience in high voltage cable design and installation.
• Member of the Order of Engineers of Quebec or eligible for registration.
• Experience with cable design software such as CYMCAP.
• Knowledge of applicable industry standards like IEC, IEEE, and CIGRE.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Fluency in French and professional proficiency in English.
• Willingness to travel in North America.
