The Chesapeake Bay Foundation seeks a Virginia Communications and Media Relations Manager in the Marketing and Communications Department to be based at one of our offices located in Richmond, VA, or Virginia Beach, VA.
The Chesapeake Bay Foundation (CBF), established in 1966, is the largest regional nonprofit conservation organization dedicated to preserving the Chesapeake Bay and its surrounding ecosystems. With a mission focused on education, advocacy, litigation, and restoration, CBF aims to implement the Chesapeake Clean Water Blueprint, a collaborative effort to reduce pollution and restore the Bay's health. The organization employs approximately 230 staff members across multiple offices in the region, including Annapolis, Richmond, and Virginia Beach, and operates 14 field education program locations. CBF is committed to engaging a diverse constituency of members and volunteers to advocate for clean water policies and restore waterways. The foundation is recognized for its environmentally sustainable facilities, including the Philip Merrill Environmental Center and the Brock Environmental Center. With an annual budget of around $30 million, CBF is supported by over 200,000 members and e-subscribers, working tirelessly to ensure a cleaner, healthier Chesapeake Bay for future generations.
