Procurement Specialist - Remote

Overview

The Procurement Specialist is responsible for assisting with the procurement process from start to finish, including tasks such as creating and maintaining procurement records, issuing purchase orders, tracking deliveries, and resolving any issues that may arise.

In Short

• Serve as the primary point of contact for all vendor inquiries, orders, and invoices
• Support the review of requisitions and purchase orders to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Research potential vendors and compare pricing to secure the best possible deal for the company
• Prepare and issue purchase orders to approved vendors
• Monitor incoming shipments to ensure timely and accurate receipt of orders
• Resolve discrepancies with vendors or suppliers promptly and professionally
• Maintain up-to-date records of all procurement activities in the company’s database
• Generate reports on procurement activity as requested by management
• Assist with the development and implementation of procurement policies and procedures
• Stay abreast of new developments in the procurement field and share relevant information with colleagues and management

Requirements

• At least one (1) year of MRP/ERP experience, preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables)
• Detail oriented, quick learner, good communicator, and takes instructions well
• Ambitious, business-minded, organized, proactive individual that can operate independently
• Comfortable with technology, open to learning, capable of excelling in a fast-paced environment
