Machine Learning Engineering Tech Lead - Remote

Overview

We seek an experienced Technical Lead for our ML Engineering team. You will serve as the technical anchor for a group of highly qualified engineers, focusing on architectural integrity, engineering standards, and system scalability. In this role, you will architect and build solutions utilizing the latest AI techniques while ensuring the robustness of existing systems within the carVertical data department. You will define the technical roadmap, make critical architectural decisions, and drive engineering execution to deliver high-performance ML solutions that increase transparency in the used car market.

In Short

• Collaborate with the Head of Decision Science to translate business requirements into technical architectures.
• Define the technical direction and choose appropriate patterns and tools for ML systems.
• Contribute to the codebase by building production-ready ML models and pipelines.
• Establish high-quality coding standards and minimize technical debt.
• Own the technical delivery timeline and ensure efficient shipping of solutions.

Requirements

• Proven experience in Technical Leadership and mentoring junior engineers.
• At least 5 years of experience in Machine Learning, Software Engineering, or Data Science.
• Proficiency in Python programming language.
• Strong understanding of machine learning concepts and techniques.
• Experience in architecting end-to-end ML systems.
• Experience deploying models on AWS or similar platforms.
