Mental Health Intern - Remote

Overview

The purpose of the position is to work with the team to deliver the highest level of service and care coordination to those in need of mental health, substance use disorder and social services.

In Short

• Support care coordination process for students, residents, staff members and their families.
• Identify and foster relationships with mental health organizations.
• Research agency policies and disperse relevant information.
• Complete internal case reviews and system analyses.
• Identify service providers for escalated cases.
• Research and verify mental health providers.
• Collaborate with care coordination teams.
• Create informational materials.
• Review and report suspected instances of abuse.
• Develop and facilitate peer support groups.

Requirements

• Remote - United States
• Bachelor’s degree in a helping profession required.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace and Canva preferred.
• Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal skills.
• Minimum commitment of 9 months.
• Working a minimum of 20 hours per week.
