Customer Care Pharmacy Technician - Remote

Overview

Capital Rx has an exciting full-time opportunity for remote candidates in the continental US, with priority given to those in Hawaii. The role involves acting as the primary point of contact for incoming member calls and ensuring appropriate escalation of cases.

In Short

• Act as the primary point of contact for incoming member calls.
• Intake thorough prior authorization requests from prescribers and members.
• Advise callers on options for exception requests based on client benefits.
• Triage incoming calls with professional phone etiquette.
• Support Customer Service Representatives with member and pharmacy inquiries.
• Communicate issues and solutions to ensure quality care.
• Follow internal Standard Operating Procedures and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
• Assist with onboarding and training of new team members.
• Support the Fraud, Waste, and Abuse program.
• Meet departmental goals including schedule adherence and quality monitoring.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Current National Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) and valid license required.
• 2+ years of pharmacy technician experience in a clinical pharmacy setting.
• 2+ years of customer service experience with strong communication skills.
• Experience handling prior authorization requests preferred.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment.
• Bilingual Spanish highly preferred.
• Medicare experience preferred.
• Tech-savvy with proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Demonstrated ability to meet performance metrics.
