Overview

Capella Space is seeking a talented GNC Engineer to develop advanced capabilities for next-generation spacecraft, focusing on orbit determination, prediction, control, and system simulation.

In Short

• Develop flight dynamics software for spacecraft operations.
• Design precise orbit determination routines.
• Drive implementation of orbit control designs.
• Refine and automate existing processes.
• Assist in satellite launches.
• Monitor satellite constellation for compliance.
• Support other teams as a GNC expert.
• Manage relations with third parties.
• Take ownership of complex technical projects.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• Expertise in orbital mechanics and Low Earth Orbit.
• Understanding of state estimation/filtering.
• Experience with CI/CD practices.
• Proficiency in deploying software on Kubernetes.
• Willingness to own complex projects.
• Eagerness to learn and teach others.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Experience in GNC and related systems is desired.
• Simulator/hardware test development experience is a plus.
