Overview

The Development Director is responsible for overseeing all philanthropic activities on behalf of the Susan Terry Foundation, part of CAN Community Health, which focuses on empowering wellness and serving individuals impacted by infectious diseases.

In Short

  • Lead the Foundation’s annual and long-range development plans.
  • Manage donor cultivation and stewardship programs.
  • Create and manage the Foundation’s annual development budgets.
  • Track fundraising metrics and maintain donor database.
  • Promote activities through various communication channels.
  • Research, write, and manage grant proposals.
  • Represent the Foundation at conferences and events.
  • Collaborate with other departments for donor outreach.
  • Attend Foundation board meetings as required.
  • Must pass a Level I background check.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and five years of related work experience or nine years of experience.
  • Experience in setting budgets and executing fundraising plans.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work in a goal-driven environment.
  • Willingness to travel within the United States.
