Overview

The Student Success Advisor’s role is to identify, support, and encourage students through successful completion of the program, particularly for military-affiliated students.

In Short

• Conduct one-on-one advising sessions with military students.
• Offer ongoing support for military-affiliated students.
• Maintain records of interactions and track academic progress.
• Develop individualized academic plans for students.
• Resolve student inquiries via multiple communication channels.
• Monitor attendance and assist at-risk students.
• Coordinate leave of absence documentation for students.
• Assist in planning and promoting school events.
• Adhere to compliance requirements.
• Embody CIAT’s mission and values.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience with military service members or veterans.
• Knowledge of military culture and education benefits.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Minimum of 1 year in academic advising preferred.
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
• Proficient in MS Office software.
• Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Exhibits flexibility in a changing environment.
