Overview

The Orthopedic Technician provides clinical care and performs clerical duties to support the functioning of the orthopedics clinic, ensuring exceptional patient care and assisting healthcare providers.

In Short

  • Full-time position with a schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
  • Responsible for applying and removing orthopedic casts, splints, and braces.
  • Assists with patient examinations and records vital signs.
  • Provides patient education on cast care and gait training.
  • Supports healthcare providers during surgical procedures.
  • Requires a high school diploma and Medical Assistant certification.
  • Must obtain Basic Life Support certification within 3 months of hire.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Medical Assistant credential approved by the Massachusetts Department of Health.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to undergo workplace education and training.
