Technical Manager, Food Safety - Remote

Overview

The Technical Manager, Food Safety, will support the Food Safety Director and will be responsible for food safety technical affairs, managing work to support customer-facing initiatives and projects.

In Short

• Keep up with food safety regulations and best practices.
• Responsible for FSQA portion of RFP development and legal review.
• Manage Technical Audit Reviews and traceability projects.
• Manage customer and supplier complaint management.
• Assist in continuous improvement of department policies and procedures.
• Lead Food Safety Events such as Recalls and Outbreaks.
• Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
• Participate in department and company meetings.
• Attend food safety conferences and engage in industry associations.
• Assist the Director in managing the Second Party Audit program.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree required or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of experience in food safety related field.
• Experience in Foodservice, Distribution, or Manufacturer servicing food operations.
• Experience with 2nd and/or 3rd party safety audits.
• Preferred experience with Produce food safety regulations.
• Experience with Meat and Seafood regulations preferred.
