Senior ExDev Animation Artist - Remote

Overview

We are looking for a Senior Animation ExDev Artist to champion our animation efforts with our ExDev partners.

Marathon is all about action and reward. In this role you will work with Art Leadership, Production and External Developers to give players more characterful moments, more delightful assets to chase, and to help push our quality bar to new heights. From handling large quantities of content, to advising a team of dedicated artists on content creation, we want you to be a part of our team to create new worlds together! In Short

• Maintain alignment with Commerce Art Lead and Discipline Art Lead(s)
• Provide craft direction and feedback to external developers
• Identify and escalate risks, communicate status
• Define costing and schedules for animation external development
• Create documentation of best practices, pipelines, and tools
• Optimize character animation pipeline and identify workflow improvements
• Create high quality animation content when required
• Integrate assets as needed
• Evolve outsourcing infrastructure with production
• Coordinate with mocap team for performance shoots

Requirements

• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Knowledge of FPS MTX Market and trends
• Thorough knowledge of Maya, Max and other animation applications
• Proven leadership and direction skills for animators
• Understanding of mo-cap techniques
• Knowledge of human and animal anatomy is an asset
• Undergraduate degree or completion of a certificate program in art is preferred
