Asset Manager (Real Estate) - Remote

Overview

You will serve as the owner’s representative, responsible for overseeing the physical and financial health of a diverse portfolio of properties. You will manage budgets, monitor property operations, lead commercial lease negotiations, and ensure compliance, all while protecting the long-term viability and financial health of the assets.

• Act as the owner’s representative, managing the property portfolio’s financial and physical status
• Review and approve annual property management budgets and monitor operational results
• Develop and update comprehensive annual asset business plans, including 5-year strategies
• Conduct site inspections and assess capital needs, including overseeing small-scale capital projects
• Lead commercial tenant lease negotiations and lease executions
• Identify refinancing opportunities and recommend property management adjustments when required
• Manage risks via compliance with Fair Housing, OSHA, IRS regulations, and insurance claims
• Coordinate with teams to meet investor, lender, and regulatory reporting requirements
• Maintain strong agency relationships

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in real estate, preferably in affordable housing or multifamily real estate
• Bachelor’s degree in real estate, finance, business, or related field strongly preferred
• Certified Property Manager (CPM) or Certified Housing Asset Management (CHAM) designation, or similar certifications, preferred
• Exposure to commercial real estate is an advantage
