Senior Environment Artist - Remote

Overview

This position is to work with our World Building team. As a Senior Environment Artist, you will create a wide range of 3D assets and environments, implementing these into the game engine, and be responsible for the creation and population of an area of our game.

In Short

• Work closely with the Lead Environment Artist to create high quality, high resolution 3D environment art.
• Experience in planning and laying out large scale environments.
• Adapt real world references into game development scenarios.
• Combine traditional art aesthetics with next-gen 3D authoring techniques.
• Stay up to date on capabilities and workflows in Game Engine and authoring tools.
• Partner with engineers and tech artists to enhance the art pipeline.
• Ensure assets conform to technical and artistic requirements.
• Manage personal deliverables with production staff.
• Mentor and inspire junior artists.
• Maintain quality and consistency across work.

Requirements

• Experience in creating high quality 3D assets, UV maps, and textures.
• Minimum of 3 years professional experience in the games industry.
• Strong experience with 3D modeling tools like 3ds Max or Maya.
• Experience with texture creation tools such as Substance.
• Experience working with a game engine (Unreal, Unity).
• Strong understanding of art fundamentals.
• Appreciation for architecture and design.
• Strong communication skills.
• Positive, collaborative, and professional attitude.
• Strong English skills, both written and verbal.
