Senior Environment Artist - Remote

Overview

Join Pipeworks Studios and make your mark on the gaming industry as a Senior Environment Artist on an exciting AAA project. The Senior Environment Artist will work closely with the Project Art Director to support various projects on their environment design, modeling, and texturing needs with styles ranging from cartoony to realistic.

In Short

• Create environments for individual projects, as needed
• Work with the Project Art Director to determine project requirements
• Research and stay up to date on current techniques
• Work within an environment POD creating AAA level content
• Collaborate with design to determine level flow
• Work closely with Technical Artist to improve quality and efficiency
• Provide accurate time estimations for project planning
• Work effectively with other artists and engineers
• Solve problems to benefit the project/team
• Ability to work independently

Requirements

• Understanding of Maya and/or Max
• Unreal 5 experience is required; familiarity with Unity preferred
• Ability to create environment textures using Substance Designer
• Ability to work off of environment concepts
• Strong communication ability
• Ability to keep a clear and consistent schedule
• Understanding of bug fixing and investigation
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar role
• Any degree or certification in relevant field or equivalent work experience
