Paralegal - Personal Injury Litigation - Remote

Overview

This is a remote position supporting a busy personal injury litigation team from intake through trial preparation. You’ll play a key role in keeping cases organized, moving forward, and client-centered.

In Short

• Manage personal injury litigation cases from intake through trial
• Gather and organize medical records, police reports, and supporting documentation
• Draft demand letters, discovery responses, settlement agreements, and closing statements
• Collect and organize documentation for all damages, including medical bills, lien statements, lost income verification, and out-of-pocket expenses
• Prepare and negotiate medical bill reductions and follow up with providers
• Communicate with clients, adjusters, providers, and opposing counsel throughout the life of the case
• Handle incoming and outgoing e-faxes and maintain accurate digital case files
• Manage and monitor client medical treatment and ensure up-to-date records are obtained
• Track case deadlines and ensure procedural steps are completed on time
• Schedule depositions, mediations, IMEs, and hearings; coordinate with process servers and court reporters
• Assist attorneys with legal research, client communication, and occasional marketing-related tasks

Requirements

• Experience as a paralegal in personal injury litigation
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of insurance coverage and policy types
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficient in legal document preparation
• Familiarity with legal research tools
