Overview

The Senior Accountant is an integral part of a growing accounting team and oversees general ledger accounting close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.

In Short

• Manage monthly closing of assigned general ledger accounts.
• Prepare monthly accounting close workpapers and analyses.
• Review monthly departmental expenses for accuracy.
• Prepare journal entries and supporting workpapers.
• Conduct general ledger account reconciliations.
• Prepare fluctuation analyses on assigned GL accounts.
• Ensure compliance with SOX requirements.
• Collaborate with other accounting team members.
• Assist in audit and tax preparation.
• Work in a fast-paced environment with high transaction volumes.

Requirements

• Degree in accounting; CPA preferred.
• 7+ years of general accounting experience.
• Experience with GL accounting in a publicly traded company.
• Biotech experience is a plus.
• Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
• High sense of urgency and problem-solving skills.
