Remote Online Math Tutor

Overview

BookNook is seeking passionate educators to join our tutoring community as independent contractors, working up to 30 hours per week. BookNook tutors are on the front lines of working to close the opportunity gap for K-8 students during a key period of their educational journey.

In Short

• Conduct virtual tutoring sessions in elementary Math using the BookNook platform.
• Manage student behavior and engagement throughout sessions.
• Create a safe, respectful learning environment.
• Maintain positive relationships with students throughout the entire schedule of the program.
• Document observations for each session.
• Curriculum and content will be provided within the platform.
• Position Type: 1099-eligible independent contractor.
• Pay Rate: $20 per hour ($10 per 30-minute session).
• Schedule: Up to 30 hours per week based on availability.
• Sessions are held only on weekdays (no weekends).

Requirements

• Must reside in and work from the United States.
• Must have a US mailing address.
• Cannot engage with tutors residing in certain states.
• Experience in teaching or tutoring K-8 math.
• Familiarity with online teaching platforms.
