Online Math Tutor - Remote

Overview

BookNook is seeking passionate educators to join our tutoring community as independent contractors, working up to 30 hours per week. BookNook tutors are on the front lines of working to close the opportunity gap for K-8 students during a key period of their educational journey.

In Short

• Conduct virtual tutoring sessions in Math using the BookNook platform.
• Manage student behavior and engagement throughout sessions.
• Create a safe, respectful learning environment.
• Maintain positive relationships with students throughout the entire schedule of the program.
• Document observations for each session.
• Work up to 30 hours per week based on availability.
• Sessions are held only on weekdays.
• Pay rate is $20 per hour.
• Independent contractor position (1099-eligible).
• Curriculum and content will be provided within the platform.

Requirements

• Passion for education and helping students succeed.
• Experience in teaching or tutoring K-8 students.
• Ability to conduct online sessions using video conferencing tools.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to a full program with the same group of students.
