Senior Machine Learning Engineer - Remote

Overview

Blend is seeking an experienced Machine Learning Engineer with deep expertise in AWS-based ML pipelines, MLOps best practices, and infrastructure-as-code. This role is focused entirely on pipeline engineering and infrastructure optimization — no model training or research — and will play a critical part in refactoring mature ML systems to support upcoming business initiatives.

In Short

• Redesign and refactor existing ML pipelines for scalability and efficiency.
• Migrate pipelines for new input datasets.
• Integrate online/offline features using Tecton.
• Develop infrastructure with AWS CloudFormation.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines with AWS CodePipeline.
• Optimize data ingestion and transformation with Snowflake.
• Identify and address technical debt in ML infrastructure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Focus on recommender systems and NLP applications.
• Work independently on complex projects.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on ML engineering experience.
• Expertise in AWS-based ML pipeline engineering.
• Proficiency in AWS services (SageMaker, Lambda, etc.).
• Strong Python skills for pipeline development.
• Experience with Snowflake data integration.
• Knowledge of CI/CD in AWS CodePipeline.
• Understanding of batch and streaming ML architectures.
• Excellent collaboration and problem-solving skills.
